BGS-VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (VTC), Cox’s Bazar
The BGS-Vocational Training Centre, Cox’s Bazar is major program areas of BGS which established in 2016 and since then it has been implementing different projects under the program. Initially, it was aiming to provide vocational skills training for the unemployed and school dropout youths of rural Bangladesh. At the initial stage, BGS observed that there were large number of school-dropped and unskilled young people who were treated as burden for their families. BGS realized that these unemployed youth could be hopes of their families if they are transformed as skilled manpower to earn. In view this, BGS expanded the program gradually and it integrated the area of job placement/employment generation for the training graduated youth.

The Training activities have been closely supervised and monitored by the Regional Manager Md. Didar Uddin Apart from Mr. Jagadish Chandra Roy, Program Manager (TVET) program has monitored the implementation process and quality issue of technical aspects. Mr. Roy visited center once a month to monitor the activities. In addition, the Manager (Finance and Accounts) Md. Sirazul Islam and the Executive Director, BGS have also monitored by visiting the training courses quarterly basis
